Star Wars and My Galaxy.....
The following pictures represent what started out as one project that turned into an obsession and hobby over the last several years. I wanted Padme doll with all of her wonderful clothing from Star Wars ATOC and ROTS movies. Fortunately, there are several websites dedicated to Star Wars characters and more particular, to the wonderful design team G. Lucas enlisted to create the costuming for his prequel movies. Where the toy companies have left off, the SW Fans have more than picked up and compensated by recreating the costumes for themselves as well as the 12 and 16 inch dolls.
In the doll world, many repaint artists have created the Padme character in a 3 dimensional way using fashion dolls. I have many repainted dolls from a variety of artists and I enjoy each artist's interpretation of the character they have created for me.
Though there are many costuming sites, I like the padawansguide.com site the most as there are many, many reference pictures from the 2005 FIDM show of many of the Star Wars movie costumes as well as how-to descriptions of the costuming. My goal has been to recreate the costumes as closely as possible. Some of this will be a bit impossible as the fabrics used cannot be duplicated or some of the detail is hard to reproduce at a 1:4 level. At this, I can only capture the essence.

Spring 2013
First of the Year! From Revenge of the Sith EP III, you only have seen her in one scene with Bail Organa bringing her the new born baby, Leia. Queen Breha Organa is shown in a serene setting holding her new daughter, Leia with Bail at her side. The original concept art had the gown as one of Padme's. I couldn't resist putting
together this lovely ensemble. In March, I finished a large commission which included 4 ROTJ Luke Jedi outfits, 3 Han Solo Outfits and one for Jagged Fel. Jagged below belongs to a dear friend across the pond and a great Star Wars fan! Han Solo and Leia were repainted by Sashableu and were entered by me in the Tonner Convention Competition in May. They garnered Robert's Choice award! I was thrilled!

This fall (2012) Sashableu and I created Queen Amidala EP I Celebration dolls. She repainted the Tonner Geisha sculpt, place it on the teen body and sent both to me to style the hair and dress the dolls. You can see the results and we are both very happy with this addition to our collections!

The first 2 dolls I started costuming were Anakin EP II and Padme in her Travel ensemble. Then in September 2008, I finished my version of Obi-Wan Kenobi. He is displayed with his EP III ROTS Jedi uniform. I had a bit of a time finding his lightsaber and hilt for EP III but found that I could buy the 1:6 scale Hasbro or Sideshow from Ebay. He is a Matt O'Neill re-rooted with strawberry blonde hair that was more evident in EPII as well as repainted by me.

March 20, 2010 Cleveland Doll Club Presentation with 2 other Club members, I made a presentation to CDC about "How we play" with our fashion doll collection. I presented a brief history on how I got hooked on creating my OOAK Star Wars doll collection which I presently have. Some dolls or costuming continue to be in process but I was very pleased with my display and received many pleasant comments! Below are the dolls set up as well as close ups of some of the outfits. Padme's outfits are inspired by the costuming of EP II and EP

III.
As of 2012, I have 3 Peter Parker male dolls costumed as Anakin with one complete as EP III. Padme has been recreated using various Tonner sculpts: NYCB Emilie, Kit, Daphne and Ashleigh, most have been repainted by various artists. I have also recreated handmaiden Dorme using the Betty Ann sculpt and dressed each
of them.
I give credit to the following Repainters who have helped me create my collection and feed my obsession! Those artists include Lisa Gates,Sashableu, Cindy Lorimer, Deborah of Just Creations, Laurie Leigh and Susan, My Immortals. My own repaints include Obi-Wan, Bail Organa, 2 EP II Dormes, and a NYCB Emilie in the packing dress is enhanced and I have an Asheigh in process.
I continue to work on more Star Wars Character dolls costuming and have added a few more this past year. Some of the dolls have been repainted either by myself or by some of my favorite artists. These dolls are my private collection. Keep checking back for more!
